Newport, Rhode Island

Fine Art

Biographies are for those looking back on life and I always am looking forward, so I will share with you my abridged version.

I was born somewhere on the West Coast, grew up somewhere else with giant mountains and a big sky, moved to the gorgeous East Coast and then went to two overpriced colleges to learn about boring things like Corporate Law,  Business, and Hotel Restaurant Management.  I tricked my best friend into marrying me roughly 14 years ago and we have two beautiful messy little boys.

Photography found me.  I have always had an on going love affair with art and it's various mediums.  It is not just about snapping a picture it's about how the artist views the subject in the time and light provided. History is captured by photography and to me that is both exciting and engaging.  Once you take a picture it is no longer part of the present, but automatically becomes  part of the past and this is why my favorite photography is capturing special moments, it is something you will always remember with one photograph.

Newport has always been my home, even when abound on numerous adventures, the draw of romantic stories past and gilded age homes lining the quaint cobblestone streets, has grasped my heart for the long run.

Thank you for thinking about booking with me and I'll leave you with my favorite quote because someone else has said it better...

"To me, photography is an art of oberservation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place...I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them." - Elliott Erwitt
